“Fear, anxiety, arousal, and pain; all are emotions and sensations. They are neither right, nor are they wrong; good nor bad. They are simply passions, a most important part of life. Feel them, fully experience them, surrender to them, and learn to accept them. As a submissive, you must let go.”

~ André Chevalier

An Introduction to B D S M

Intimacy Coaching with Daka Dan

Since 50 Shades of Grey came out there has been a lot of talk about BDSM. Unfortunately, the book was very poorly written and painted BDSM in a somewhat negative light in some aspects. Fortunately it has begun to open up the conversation. While I would recommend Anne Rice’s Beauty Series as a far better written tale of BDSM I’m just happy people are awakening to it’s availability. Don’t be surprised if some of the items below begin to get you a bit excited. In a recent study more than 75% of participants reported having bondage fantasies. Likely you are not alone.

BDSM is a means to an end and there are many. One, for those of you who are in your head around sex it is very difficult to remain in your head when there is spanking or any other form of BDSM play. Two, the added stimulation kicks off endorphins into the bloodstream. If you’ve ever heard of “runners high” this is exactly what I’m talking about, but this is called “subspace,” which is a natural high from this work. Three, in order to be in this scenario you have to have complete trust with your partner. This is a fantastic way to let go and turn yourself over to someone.
